Morning comes, the sky clear and blue.
But all I want is summer rain,
For water to come and drown out the world,
I want to hear the sky crack as thunder screams out its pain,
To watch as lightning illuminates the world and freezes it in time.
These are the moments I can remember you most clearly,
You loved to dance in the rain and stare enraptured at lightning,
Probably because they most reflected who you were as a person,
Gentle and kind, yet full of anger and hurt.
I crave for the Earth to give me more, because these are the only
Times I can feel like you are beside me again.
