Inspireme #1- Love and loss and moving on

Inspiration can come in many forms. In my interesting brain bubbles series I hoped to pass along articles that sparked my thinking, in my inspireme series I hope to highlight all the different sources I take for inspiration.

These last few months have been rough for me, well the last few years really. I have been in a rut, having great difficulty pulling myself out of it. In starting this series I hope to cement all the different things that pull me out and make me re-evaluate thoughts and opinions or simply lift me up out of a funk and thrust me back into the world from whatever dark place I was wallowing in at the moment.

Today I will be showcasing a short quote from author Mark Twain, a song from Hedley that I just love and a poem by Honest Musings, a facebook writer who just posts so much it astounds me, I am pretty sure that he is not a native English speaker yet he still writes beautifully.

In the future I will be adding books, movies and anything else that I feel like. Inspiration is not just about some fancy quotes but about forcing you to view life through anothers perspective, to put you into that observer mode and make you realize how much more there is to life and how little we actually know. These 3 showcase some of humanities greatest gifts, the ability to wish well to someone even if they are no longer in your life, and how much more meaningful the love of someone is compared to the fleeting happiness brought on by material possessions and money.

Life is short, break the rules, forgive
quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile. Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off
the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

~ Mark Twain ~
