Poetry spotlight #1

Just like my interesting brain bubbles series, this will be where I showcase poems and poets whose work has resonated with me. This poem touches me to the core, one of the central values of my life is this complete opening up of my inner self to anyone I meet. If I met you today, then I would have no qualms in sharing everything about myself, from the worst things I have done and thought to my most kind deeds and words.

I have had this backfire on me of course, as many people feel overwhelmed by someone speaking so candidly to them, but I find that in the long term it opens people up to me, allows them at least to a small degree to be genuine and carefree when they share their own thoughts and opinions and lives with little old me.

Hope you enjoy this poem from the awesome Mia Hollow.
